Summary:Responsible for inspecting and finishing metal surfaces to ensure cleanliness and absence of surface irregularities before painting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Grinds parts and/ or components to acceptable surface profiles.· Applies adhesives, caulk, and bondo to appropriate metal surfaces.· Smooths surface of parts to a specified finish.· Polishes metal surface.·Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Day Shift opportunities available Second shift employees receive a $1.50/hr premium(where applicable)
4-on 4-off schedule; off half of the weekends during the year
